Orlando Pirates are at serious risk of losing their standout young talent, Relebohile Mofokeng, whose future at the club is now surrounded by growing uncertainty. The 20-year-old has captured the attention of the football world following an extraordinary 2023/24 season, leaving fans and analysts wondering whether he will still be wearing the black and white come next season.

“Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope he makes the right decisions,” Broos said. “I see all the things around—Barcelona, Rangers—and I’m a little afraid. I just hope the people around him help him choose the best sporting path, not just the most financially lucrative one.”
Broos emphasized the importance of choosing a club where Mofokeng would get regular playing time, warning against moves that prioritize short-term profit over long-term development.
“Okay, I believe his parents want the best for him. But there are others who may be more interested in money, and that’s the problem. Let’s hope I spoke too soon. But I think by June, Mofokeng may no longer be an Orlando Pirates player.”
