Pyramids FC Coach Applauds Orlando Pirates After Historic CAF Champions League Final Qualificati

After securing an unprecedented spot in Friday night's CAF Champions League final, head coach Krunoslav Jurčić of Pyramids FC has nothing but respect for Orlando Pirates. After a nail-biting second leg in Cairo, the Egyptian team advanced to the final for the first time in their history with a 3-2 victory over the Buccaneers. Jurčić showed great respect for the South African visitors, the Pirates, even if his team won. He praised their courageous performance. It was an unusual match setting.

"I would never have believed it if someone had told me at the beginning of the season that we would make it to the final in this manner," the Croatian coach said following the game. "I am very pleased with how far my team has come." The crowd at Cairo International Stadium went wild celebrating, but Jurčić confessed he didn't know how his Egyptian rivals Al Ahly fared. He instead focused on the strong competition they had that night.

The Orlando Pirates "deserved praise for their performance" and "played an excellent match," he stated. "They demonstrated why they are such a revered club in African football by making the game extremely challenging for us." In anticipation of the final, which will take place at the home field of Pyramids FC, Jurčić urged Egyptian supporters to come out in force and rally behind the club. We are excited to host the final at our home stadium. We will be playing for Egypt, therefore I hope 35,000 people show up to the stadium," he said.

Still, the Croatian coach stressed that his team's inclusion was entirely merit-based, praising the players' development and resiliency during the tournament. Because they are worthy, my squad made it to the final. We don't require any assistance; only inform the players: you have reached the African final! In front of their home fans, Pyramids FC will now try to finish their fairytale run by hoisting the prized trophy
